Members' Business Contact Information is Displayed within a Secured Members' Directory

Members' business contact information is displayed within the Members' 
Directory found in the secure Members only section of this web site.  This information is intended to facilitate communication between all members.  Displayed information includes bank name, bank address, contact name,
phone number and e-mail address.  Members have the option to remove 
or modify this information from the members' directory.  Contact webmaster@neba.com or call Member Services at (800) 937-6322 to 
request changes to y our directory listing.  All other personal information 
we provide on-line is information you voluntarily provide us with.

When You Browse the NEBA Web site, You Do So Without Revealing 
Your Identity.

This NEBA Web site server automatically recognizes the visitor’s domain and IP address. We also collect information on what pages you access and any information you volunteer. Personal information, such as your e-mail address, is not collected, unless you provide it to us. NEBA does not disclose domain name or any other information to third parties.

We Are Committed to Protecting the Confidentiality of Consumer Information.

NEBA’s policies limit access to personal user information that is collected 
from this Web site to those employees of NEBA who need the information 
to fulfill their business responsibilities. All vendors and other outside 
contractors we engage are subject to our contractual requirements to ensure
that sensitive personal information is safeguarded. Employees must adhere to NEBA’s Online Privacy Statement in addition to our Privacy Principles. 
Employees violating the NEBA Online Privacy Statement or the Privacy 
Principles are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.

At NEBA, security is a priority. NEBA employs appropriate measures, including advanced technology, to protect personal information collected online against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. NEBA Privacy Principles

As a provider of credit, debit and other payment card transaction processing through third parties, NEBA works behind the scenes on behalf of our members to ensure the efficient, accurate and secure handling of payment processing and billing. In order to provide these services, NEBA must receive, maintain and use financial and other sensitive personal information. We believe that information used responsibly benefits consumers and the economy. NEBA supports the responsible information practices of its members by adhering to the following privacy principles:

WE DO NOT COLLECT, MAINTAIN OR DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR OUR OWN USE.

NEBA does not have any direct customer relationships with consumers. When we receive, maintain and disclose consumer personal information, we do so on behalf of our members who are entrusted with their customers' personal information.

WE COLLECT, MAINTAIN AND DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION ONLY AS NECESSARY TO PERFORM SERVICES FOR OUR MEMBERS.

We handle personal consumer information only as necessary to carry out the services our members have requested us to perform for them. At the direction of our members, we may disclose personal information to third parties with whom our members have a business relationship, such as credit bureaus, consultants and other vendors. We may also share personal information with our own vendors, subject to obligations of confidentiality, and only to the extent necessary to support our services to our members. With the permission of our members, we may use aggregate data, not identifiable to any individual, to validate the accuracy and quality of fraud prevention and risk-control products used by our members. We also will disclose consumer information in response to a lawful request issued by a court, government agency or regulatory authority with jurisdiction to make that request.

WE ASSIST OUR MEMBERS IN INFORMING CONSUMERS ABOUT THE GENERAL USES OF THEIR INFORMATION.

We encourage our members to provide consumers with a timely and complete privacy notice. As a natural part of our processing business, we may assist our members in preparation and mailing of privacy notices and recording and tracking consumer privacy choices. If we are contacted directly by a consumer regarding information that we maintain, we endeavor to direct the consumer to the appropriate member, so that institution can assist the customer according to its own privacy policies.

WE PROTECT THE CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY OF PERSONAL CONSUMER INFORMATION.

Within NEBA, access to personal information is limited to those employees of NEBA who need it to fulfill their business responsibilities. Employees must adhere to NEBA’s Privacy Principles. Violations of these Principles can result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. We have obligations of strict confidentiality under our member agreement, and we handle information based on our members’ direction and in accordance with applicable laws. Vendors and other outside contractors we engage are subject to our contractual requirements to ensure sensitive personal information is safeguarded. We employ appropriate measures to protect consumer information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. These may include encryption, physical access security and other appropriate technologies. NEBA continually reviews
