In excess of $1 billion
per year can be traced to payment fraud. It’s more important
than ever to protect your business and your customers. Recently,
fraudulent activities have included everything from skimming,
to theft of cardholder data. Having an understanding of the
types of fraud financial institutions and merchants are facing
as well as the tools and resources that your organization can
take advantage of to minimize the opportunity for fraud, is
more important than ever.
Knowing what you
are collecting and storing and ensuring its security has become
such an important issue that that the credit card associations
have created a joint Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security
Standard. The PCI standard details technical requirements for
the secure storage as well as processing and transmission of
cardholder data. This is an important area for retailers to
understand and implement correctly and one that will be addressed
in the Webinar.
In
addition, Webinar participants will receive valuable information
on types of payment card fraud, how current forces in the marketplace
are driving and/or contributing to fraud, an overview of ID
theft solutions and resources as well as some tips on accessing
resources available from the card associations and other financial
institutions.
